I was approached at an art show by a representative of DYAO and asked if I had ever considered participating in the painted violin. This is an annual fundraiser for the kids in which they give out instruments which are either too worn out to play or just damaged to artists such as myself. We take in that worn out instrument and breathe new life in the way of our art. I had a lot of fun incorporating my metal work into first a viola and the a violin. I have created three pieces like this in total, two of which through the painted violin in which DYAO was able to put the proceeds to good use. All are currently in private collections. Stay tuned, I may make another.
